London Chess Classic 2024 returns Chess in Schools and Communities has announced the return of the London Chess Classic 2024, taking place for the 14th time, sponsored by XTX Markets. The London Chess Classic 2024 will take place at Arsenal Football Club’s Emirates Stadium between Friday 29 November and Saturday 7 December 2024. London Chess Championship Events
A world-class Grandmaster tournament will be held, featuring the best chess players in the UK and talent from around the world.
There will also be a FIDE Open, a nine-round Classic chess tournament, suitable for players seeking titles.
In addition, there will be the LCC Festival, which provides exposure for players of all levels to compete in the Classic.
A Schools Festival will also be held, giving hundreds of children the opportunity to learn more about chess and experience a world-class chess tournament.
The ProBiz Cup will be held, where top chess masters will team up with business leaders in a cross-motion competition.
In addition, an LCC dinner will be held at The Dorchester to raise funds to support chess work in schools and local communities.
In addition to all this, a variety of events will be held each evening, including a Grandmaster tournament, simultaneous performances, tournaments, and chess lectures.
